Methods and Approaches for Understanding and Description to the contents of Kitāb ‘l Shifā

Abstract

Qadī ‛Ayyād was a great scholar of his time in Hadīth, Tafsīr, Jurisprudence, Arabic language and its concern sciences. In Sīrah literature, he compiled a fertilized material to develop and highlight the personality of the Holy Prophet (peace be on him). He wrote many excellent books including Kamāl ‛l-Mu‛allim, a commentary on the Ṣahīh al-Muslim, and the Shifā, those are the most extraordinary books. Every one relies on it and writes about it UN fullness and un courage other to read and study it. Copies of it have spread East and West. If this book had been written in gold as weighted against jewels, it would not cover its worth. Qadī ‛Ayyād has written an outclass book on excellent qualities and virtues of the Holy Prophet (peace be on him). He has very clearly described the rights of Holy Prophet (peace be on him) over his followers in his book. Qadī ‛Ayyād has categorically described the arrangements of chapters and articles of his book from its original sources. The method of Kitāb ‘l al-Shifā will be discussed at length to evaluate with contemporary time.
