Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission’s compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

1. The article is not contradicted to mainstream Islamic teachings. 

   مقالے میں بنیادی اسلامی عقائدسے متصادم کوئی مواد موجود نہ ہو۔ 

2. The submission is an original research work and has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.

   مقالہ اصلی تحقیقی وغیر مطبوعہ کاوش ہو نیز کسی اور جگہ اشاعت کے لیے زیر غور نہ ہو۔

3. The submission file is in Microsoft Word format. Submission should include a provisional title both in English and Urdu. Each submission must be attached with an English abstract of approximately 250 words along with English translation of the title.

   مقالہ مائیکروسافٹ ورڈ میں ہونا چاہیے۔ مقالے کا عنوان اردو اور انگریزی دونوں زبانوں میں شامل ہو۔مقالے کا کم و بیش ۲۵۰ الفاظ پر مشتمل انگریزی خلاصہ ساتھ بھیجنا ضروری ہے۔

4. The article is in correct language without spelling mistakes and the verses of Quran and sayings of Prophet Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him are mentioned with full accuracy.    مقالہ معیاری زبان میں اور املا کی اغلاط سے پاک ہو نیز قرآن و حدیث کی نصوص کو ٹھیک ٹھیک نقل کیا گیا ہو۔ مقالے میں شامل غیر انگریزی اصطلاحات کے لئے ٹرانسلٹریشن کا طریقہ کار اختیار کیا جائے۔ جس  کے لئے یہ جدول ملاحظہ کیا جائے۔  ٹرانسلٹریشن کے حروف کو  آفس ورڈ فائل میں ڈاؤن لوڈ کرنے کے لئے ٹرانسلٹریشن  حروف پر کلک کریں۔ 

5. The article is not plagiarized and where available, URLs for the references have been provided.

   مقالے میں کسی قسم کا علمی سرقہ نہ ہو اور جہاں کہیں دستیابی ممکن ہو حوالہ جات میں (ویب سائیٹ کے لنک) مہیا کیے جائیں۔

6. The references are included in the footnotes as per Fikr-o Nazar’s format.

   بھیجی جانے والی تحریروں میں حوالہ جات کے سلسلے میں ”العلوم  مجلہ علوم اسلامی“ کے طرز کو اختیار کیا جانا چاہیے۔

 For Articles in English

Research articles published in this journal are generally of 5,000-7,000 words (including foot-notes) and subject to initial editorial screening, double blind peer review by at least two experts of the field and further editorial review. It also occasionally publishes special issues dedicated exclusively to a particular theme.

The submission file is in Microsoft Word format. Submission should include an English abstract of approximately 250 words along with five key words.

Submission Via OJS: Authors are advised to submit there article in word file via OJS.

Codes in Abstract: Authors are advised to add relevant KAUJIE Classification codes and JEL Classification codes like A12, F32, R11 etc. at the end of abstract after adding Keywords, If article is related to Islamic Economics, Islamic Finance, Islamic Banking, Islamic Law, Islamic Trade, Islamic Jurisprudence, Islamic Education, History of all of these areas.

Font Size and Style: Single Space, font style – Book Antiqua, Normal text-12, Headings-14, Sub-Headings-12 in Italic, Foot notes-10.

Submissions must be in accordance with prescribed format of Al-‘Ulūm that follows the Chicago manual of style for references, footnotes and citations. 

In particular, please observe the following conventions for footnotes:

• Reference from the Qur’an: Source of Urdu or English translation of the Qur’anic verses must also be cited – Al-Quran, 3: 212

• Reference from Classical Hadith Compilations

مقالہ نگاران کے لیے رہنما اصول  (اردو اور عربی مقالہ جات)۔

العلوم  مجلہ علوم اسلامی میں شائع ہونے والا مقالہ بالعموم حواشی و حوالہ جات سمیت پانچ سے سات ہزار الفاظ پر مشتمل ہوتا ہے۔ ابتدائی ادارتی چھان پھٹک کے بعد اشاعت سے پہلے کم ازکم دو ماہرین سے اس مقالے کی اشاعت/عدم اشاعت کے بارے میں رازدارانہ رائے لی جاتی ہے۔ اشاعت کے لیے قبول ہونے والے مقالات کی اگر ضرورت ہو تو مزید ادارتی تدوین بھی کی جاتی ہے۔ ”العلوم  مجلہ علوم اسلامی“ کسی مخصوص  موضوع پر گاہے بگاہے خصوصی اشاعتوں کا بھی اہتمام کرتا ہے۔ بھیجی جانے والی تحریروں میں حوالہ جات اور اقتباسات وغیرہ کے سلسلے میں العلوم کے طرز کو اختیار کیا جائے جو بنیادی طور پر شکاگو مینویل پر مبنی ہے۔ (نمونے کی بعض مثالوں کے لیے درج ذیل لنک دیکھیے)۔

 قواعد و ضوابط

مقالہ ایم ایس ورڈ  کے اے فور سائز  صفحے  کی ایک  طرف کمپوز شدہ ہو جوبشمول حوالہ جات  و حواشی  پندرہ سے پچیس صفحات  پر مشتمل ہو  ۔ –

مقالہ کے شروع میں   (250)  الفاظ پر مبنی  انگریزی زبان میں خلاصہ لازمی تحریر کریں جس کے ساتھ پانچ کلیدی الفاظ( کی ورڈز) شامل ہوں۔ –

مقالہ کے آخر پر حاصل بحث ، نتائج اور  سفارشات جامع انداز میں تحریر ہونی  چاہییں۔ –

 مقالہ کے متن میں فاصلہ یک سطری، اردو کے لئے فونٹ سٹائل: جمیل نوری نستعلیق،عربی عبارات اور عربی مقالے کے عمومی متن کے لئےفونٹ سٹائل:’’ سکل مجلہ‘‘ ہونا چاہیے۔- 

  قرانی آیات کے لئے  فونٹ سٹائل:’’ القلم ‘‘ ہونا لازمی ہے (فونٹس پر کلک کر کے انہیں ڈاؤنلوڈ کرنے کا آپشن موجود ہے)۔- 

فونٹ سائز:  عنوانات کے لئے  (16) ،  جبکہ متن کے لئے  (14) ، اقتباسات کے لئے (12)  سائز  مقرر ہے۔اگر اقتباس انگلش زبان میں ہو تو اس کا فونٹ اسٹائل ”سکل مجلہ ‘‘ استعمال کریں۔ –

اگر کسی مقالے میں  نقشہ جات، خاکے اور فہرستیں موجود ہیں تو وہ متن کے اندر موزوں مقام پر دی جانی چاہیں، نہ کہ آخر میں۔ – 

مقالہ کے حواشی و حوالہ جات کے لئے شکاگو مینوئل اسٹائل کو  پیش نظر رکھا جائے۔ –

اصطلاحات  کے لئے ’’ ٹرانسلٹریشن جدول ‘‘ کو پیش نظر رکھا جائے۔  – 

ٹرانسلٹریشن کے مخصوص حروف کے لئے یہ فونٹ انسٹال کریں ۔یا پھر ڈائریکٹ ٹرانسلٹریشن  حروف کو  آفس ورڈ فائل میں ڈاؤن لوڈ کرنے کے لئے ٹرانسلٹریشن  حروف پر کلک کریں۔  –  

مقالہ  تخلیقی  اور طبع زاد ہونا چاہیے اور کسی بھی  قسم کے علمی سرقہ  اور  چربہ سے  پاک ہو۔ –

مقالہ تحقیق کے بنیادی اُصولوں  سے مزین ہو۔ –

املاء و انشاء  کے رموز و قواعد  کا التزام ضروری ہے ۔ –

مقالہ  کمپوزنگ اور املاء کی  تمام تراَغلاط سے خالی  ہو  ۔ –

تمام حوالہ جات  مقالہ کے فٹ نوٹس میں موجود ہوں۔ پھر مقالہ کے آخر میں صرف بنیادی ’’مصادر و مراجع‘‘ دئے جائیں۔  –

صرف درج ذیل  (او ۔جے ۔ایس سسٹم) کے ذریعے   جمع کروائے گئے مقالہ جات  ہی مزید پروسس کے لئے  قبول کیے جائیں گے  ۔ –

حوالہ جات کے لیے بالخصوص درج ذیل ضوابط کو ملحوظ خاطر رکھیں:۔

 

قرآن کے حوالے کے لیے مثال: القرآن،۳: ۱۱۳  (ترجمہ کے ماخذ کا بھی ذکر کیا جائے)۔

حدیث کے حوالے کے لیے مثال: محمد بن اسماعیل البخاری، الجامع الصحیح، کتاب الذبائح و الصید، باب أکل کل ذي ناب من السباع (ریاض: دار السلام، 1417ھ)،  حدیث : 5530۔

مستقل کتاب کا حوالہ: ابو بکر محمد بن احمدالسرخسی، أصول السرخسي (بیروت: دار المعرفة،  ۱۹۹۷ء)، ۱: ۳۵۰۔

              دوبارہ حوالے کے لیے صرف مصنف کا مشہور(آخری) نام اور کتاب کا مختصر نام لکھا جائے ، مثلاً: السرخسی، أصول ،  ۱: ۳۵۰۔

مدون شدہ کتاب کا حوالہ:  خلیق احمد نظامی، مرتب، شاہ ولی اللہ کے سیاسی مکتوبات (لاہور: ادارہ اسلامیات، ۱۹۷۸ء)، ۵۲۔
