Various Dimensions of the Honour of Mustafā (peace be upon him) and its Contemporary Significance: A Case Study of Kitāb ‘l Shifā

Abstract

Kitāb ‘l al-Shifā is a well-known book by al-Qazi Abul Fazl ʻAyyad al-Hasabī. This book intends the rights of Mustafā (peace be on him) which granted by Allah Almighty. Sirah literature discusses these rights with different dimensions to give honour to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be on him). God described these dimensions like probation of calling him with his wrong words, rising voice on his voice etc. Furthermore, with the different aspects of his glory there are mentioned, his likeness, characteristics and miracles, while the second part includes the rights of the Holy Prophet (peace be on him) which are obligatory for the Ummah. In Kitāb ‘l al-Shifā these various rights of the Holy Prophet (peace be on him) have been mentioned with great evidence and in a faith-inspiring manner. This article highlights the aspects of rights according to Kitāb ‘l al-Shifā.
