The Ascension of Mustafā (peace be upon him): A Case Study of Kitāb ‘l-Shifā
Abstract
Allah Almighty gave the honor to his last Prophet Muhammad (peace be on him) that after granting prophethood. Allah called him at ‘Arsh-e-Mu‘la which is a great chapter of his life was established. The believers will continue to be blessed with the blessings of the meeting with his Lord and Lord of the universe. The dialogue in the ascension will always be repeated in the form of tashud of Salāh. But its nature is different for everyone. The first difference between dreams and waking is whether this happiness was achieved in the state of a dream or in the waking with the presence of the holy Prophet (peace be on him). There is more than one opinion on the date of the ascension event. Along with this, there is also a conflict regarding the attitude towards Allah. Shibli has discussed the origin of this incident in Sīrat ‘l-Nabī. The same type of argument is found in Kitāb ‘l Shifā Bet‘arīf-e Huqūq-e Mustafā by Qadī ‘Ayyad Malikī (544 AH). Comparative study of the same conflict of this event and bringing out the true picture in the light of "Kitāb ʻl-Shifā" is the subject of this study.
