<p style="text-align: justify; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed;"><span style="font-family: 'Book Antiqua',serif;">This research examines the military and defensive strategy of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be on him) with specific reference to the Battle of Badr and critically assesses its contemporary relevance. Drawing upon historical, strategic, and ethical scholarship, the study situates Badr as a paradigmatic engagement that transcends its immediate historical milieu to offer enduring insights into defence, leadership, and ethical conduct in conflict. The Battle of Badr represents a seminal moment in early Islamic military history, distinguished not merely by its tactical outcome but by the strategic framework within which the Prophet (peace be on him) operated. As documented in academic analyses, the Prophet’s strategy at Badr combined meticulous planning, strategic positioning, and an acute awareness of intelligence and terrain, enabling a numerically inferior Muslim force to counteract the Quraysh’s superior numbers. The research also engages with the contemporary relevance of Prophetic military strategy. In an era characterized by asymmetric conflict and complex ethical challenges, the Prophet’s integrated model—combining effective defence, disciplined restraint, and moral legitimacy—offers paradigmatic insights. This has implications for modern military doctrine, conflict resolution frameworks, and ethical leadership in defence policy. By emphasizing justice, prudence, and strategic adaptability, the Prophetic model contributes to ongoing scholarly dialogues on the ethics of defence and the constructive role of leadership in armed conflict.</span></p>
